For the first time ever, Just Relax are offering a sneaky preview of Romeo Crow's awesome new music video "For the Weekend".
It is officially released on Friday 30th September, but Just Relax fans can check it out here first!
This, in my opinion, is one of Romeo's best and funkiest tracks to date, but don't just take my word for it, be one of the first to watch and hear it here:

Frank “Thad” Hearst, aka Styles is a Music Executive.
Born in 1979 in Atlanta, Georgia, music has always been a part of Thad’s life. He currently recruits fresh new talent to the Jerkins Music Group. Here is his fascinating interview with Editor Karen Hill: I only discovered Inglorious a couple of months ago, when I heard the track ‘Unaware’ being played on Planet Rock. I was absolutely blown away by everything about this song and knew I had to buy their album and see them perform live!
I am so lucky that I had my chance, at The Robin 2 in Bilston. The fact that Inglorious had just played a very successful set at Download on Saturday added an enthusiasm in the crowd that you wouldn’t normally get anywhere on a Monday night. Before seeing them, and on the strength of their self-titled album; I have predicted great things for these guys and seeing them live only confirms this. When class 5L’s teacher, the popular Mrs Lewis goes to Australia to teach, her replacement, Miss Ironside is rather sinister to say the least!
When Miss Ironside’s evil actions make a pupil, Will, realise she is not human he has to face the difficult task of trying to convince his fellow classmates, who are gradually being brainwashed into becoming “Ironsiders”; and the even more difficult challenge of trying to expose her for what she is! eLAY is an award winning singer/musician who has played drums from the UK to the USA. He has won the accolades of both regional and national drummer of the year in Birmingham and London. eLAY got into session work & has worked in all different musical situations in many genres with many artist & bands. These include Massive Attack’s vocalist Shara Nelson; poet Anne Clark and singer, Jaki Graham, ranging from trip hop to jazz. Muse are one of my favourite bands but I hadn’t been fortunate enough to see them until their performance at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.
I had read fantastic things about their Drones tour so far: out of 2000 US reviews, they averaged 4.9 out of 5; their show has been dubbed, “The Greatest Show on Earth”..,.but would I think it deserved it?
The Feelgood Plan is a book written by health trainer Dalton Wong and health writer Kate Faithfull-Williams.
It makes no promises about losing “14lbs in 14 days”, instead it concentrates on taking just 15 minutes a day to do something for your body that makes you feel good. Sections include ‘Eat’, ‘Move’ and ‘Relax’. You can read the entire book (as I did, as I couldn’t put it down!) or read the first two chapters and turn to various relevant pages. After gigging over 250 times and writing over 100 songs, it is hard to believe that Charlie Leavy is just 19. She can play a variety of instruments including keys and ukulele, but mainly performs with her acoustic guitar. In her songs she manages to cleverly combine the styles of acoustic pop, folk, country, funk and blues. She has performed at Hyde Park as a prize for winning the London Pride’s Got Talent final and has been described as a “naturally gifted singer” by Tom Robinson of BBC Music fame. Charlie has also recorded songs in Japanese, Korean and Spanish. Her most played song on Soundcloud is Hero (sang in Spanish) which recently hit the 150,000 mark. The first thing that immediately struck me with the opening track on ‘The Best Damn Ride’ EP (The Way Life Is) was Charlie’s sweet and powerful voice. I also really appreciated the deep lyrics and the slightly retro funky beat. Vocally, she could be compared to Pixie Lott. It is a great choice of song to start the EP with. Another of my favourite tracks is Falter Baby, which I found extremely moving both lyrically and musically. It is obvious Charlie draws from her own experiences when writing her music. Music fans who appreciate folk will no doubt also appreciate the track ‘Tongue Tied’. ‘Wearing Your Kiss’ is another fantastic highlight and I liked it the very first time I heard it. It is more soulful but manages to be very catchy and uplifting. I can tell from this EP that Charlie is uniquely talented and recommend you check this out from a star in the making! (Although they are not on the EP, Charlie has done some amazing covers which are available to check out on YouTube. I have particularly enjoyed her cover of John Legend’s ‘All of Me’ and Pixie Lott’s ‘Mama Do’.) Find out more about Charlie here: http://www.charlieleavymusic.com/ Leandro d’Vintmus is a multi-talented musician who originates from Sao Paulo in Brazil. He is a Multi-percussionist who has also performed live electronic music. In 2003 he developed a love for Indian classical music and has studied Tabla. In 2014, Leandro found inspiration to compose his own songs after writing short tracks to be used in a video he had produced. He then used this inspiration to record his first EP ‘Newborn’ which he describes as follows: "A newborn baby is pure and has no past. It is like a white canvas that will be painted. The paint represents the experiences that the newborn baby will have and that will consequently shape his personality." The ‘Newborn’ EP demonstrates a fresh beginning. Love is an important aspect of the songs and this comes across very well. The eclectic musical genres, with Brazilian, Indian and Spanish influences work well and the tunes are catchy, yet relaxing. The title track is my personal favourite, with it’s Spanish/Jazz vibe. I enjoyed this track on first hearing and was blown away by its originality. ‘New Horizon’ again demonstrates a fresh start. It is a nice, positive song lyrically and musically and contains the lovely vocals of Jenny Wilde. ‘Life’s Still a Riddle’ is more of a melodic jazz song which has a relaxing 70’s feel to it. ‘Berimba’ has a very Brazilian influence to it. A poem is recited over the top of the music about loving life and living for love, which I find appealing. I would recommend listening to Leandro to appreciate pure, spiritual, original music and to relax and free your mind from your troubles. Karen Hill |
